Hey guys I’m back. As most of you may know the Student Blogging Challenge has begun, which means I will be posting weekly. I will be posting from the comfort of my home, because Covid-19 has cancelled school until April 7th. Since I last posted a lot has happened, I’m more than have way through seventh grade, I’ve made even more amazing friends and life has been pretty good. (Besides the widespread illness going around). I’m looking forward to spring in the midst of this chaos, what are you looking forward to in 2020.

I can’t believe that this challenge is finally over. I had so much fun with each and every weekly challenge that I took part in. I don’t know if I’ll ever use my blog in the future, but it was fun. I’m so glad that I was introduced to blogging this year and can’t wait to blog more in my future.

          Christmas is one of many many favorite times of the year. My entire family celebrates Christmas and the festivities that surround it. Every year we usually have a party at my aunt’s house where we exchange gifts and make special Christmas cookies called pizzilies. Pizzilies are snowflake shaped cookies that are sugary, buttery, thin and delicious. My whole family can make like eighty in one night. We exchange gifts towards the end of the night which is always fun. Christmas is always a joyful and bright time in my family, how about yours? What holidays do you celebrate?

                                 The Harp

The harp is a stringed musical instrument that has many strings varying in length that are plucked by one’s fingers. The harp is a very large and stationary instrument. This instrument originated from ancient Egypt, and is one of the oldest in the world. I’ve never played the harp, but I’ve heard it quite a few times to know how peaceful and graceful the sound is that it makes. It is like angels singing when it is played. The harp is my second favorite instrument, my first being the piano. Maybe one day I’ll get to play the harp.

Fall My Favorite Time of Year

As the leaves fall from the trees in shades of red, orange, and yellow

We hang out inside snooze under the covers

And as spring comes to an end we smell the fresh fall air

I enjoy carving and painting pumpkins

Halloween is a delightful holiday

With costumes and candy galore

I like to bake during this wonderful time of the year

With cinnamon, nutmeg, apples and pumpkins

With winter approaching there is little time to enjoy this time of the year

But it’s so peaceful this time of the year and I love it.
